I knew that you would be the first to take up your position
And writing to impress us all is clearly your ambition
For some the party's over as they nurse an aching head
And others went home early, and are still tucked up in bed

Dear Todd has hung his tu-tu up until the next event
The time and place decided; the invites have been sent
My dancing shoes are polished; the sequins are in place
Where did I put those tassels; can I really stand the pace?

The chatroom has been painted - a subtle shade of green
It's smart, it's bright; it's funky - the best place to be seen
The drink is gently chilling and the food is being cooked
I still can't find my tassels; don't remember where I've looked.

Feel free to wear your party clothes and try to look your best
Or wear what makes you feel good, but not that old string vest
But if that makes you happy, it has to be your choice
And you can sing the night away if you use your Aled voice

Has anyone seen the birthday boy since he left the party early?
He might be in a ditch somewhere; passed out or just plain surly
I'll go and take a little look and soothe his fevered brow
Can't leave him in that dreadful state; ok I'm going now.

I've found him; he is breathing; it his him without a doubt
His wig is at an angle and his teeth have fallen out
But he is safe, though tired; I will take him out of sight
And let the boy recover until this Thursday night.
