What does Christmas mean to you?Oh to be out shopping, with Christmas oh so near
People walking down the aisles, filled with festive cheer
The shelves are full with Christmas gifts;fruit just right for picking
The stamps are fixed upon the cards; the envelopes all need licking
The Christmas trees look pretty with their baubles and their lights
The crackers, packed in boxes, are such a lovely sight
There's Santa in his grotto with children on his knee
But that's not what it's all about, I'm sure that you'll agree
For in that lonely cattle shed, so cold and far away
A little child, who means so much, was born that special day
The snow lay deeply on the ground, a star shone up above
A true gift sent from heaven, to share with us his love.
Although his life on earth was brief, he's never far away
And in our hearts and minds we know, we'll meet with him some day
This Christmas I'll remember him with love and prayers so real
And if you kneel beside me, his presence you will feel.
For he is with us all, you see, he guides us on our way
He shapes our lives, and gives us love, and in return we pray
This Christmas I will pray to him with thanks for his guiding light
And for you, the friends that I've made here, I pray for you each
night.
Love and prayers

Thanks for thr complimentMuch appreciated John. I chose to write it instead of going Christmas shopping this afternoon
This is turning into a mutual admiration society with no-one else contributing. Hey ho, us writers will just have to stick together.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and that the move goes well.
Love and God Bless
