Clay Aiken in Monty Python's Spamalot
"Clay Aiken will be hitting the Broadway stage for the first time on January 18 when he begins his stint playing Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot. While Clay admitted to Newsweek that he wasn't all that familiar with the show prior to signing on: "I thought Monty Python was a person until three months ago," he's had a big change of heart since beginning rehearsals."
If I were rich I'd 'pop over' to NY after seeing Chess in London.. I don't really know the storyline of Spamalot but I'm sure Clay will be hilarious Rumour has it he even has to speak with a British accent, which is pretty far from his 'Southern drawl' so I'd like to hear how he handles that..lol.
If I'm not mistaken, the decision of including Clay in Spamalot was influenced by none other than Eric Idle himself, whose daughter is a Clay fan and Eric said he admires Clay's voice too.

Seems the opening night was a success; his British accent was flawless and it was overall a great performance, according to reports. Apparently Eric Idle had written in some special "Idol" jokes and a little more singing for Clay's character.
The hair makes me think of Aled's wig as Joseph
